I am curious if you ever heard of hungarian castles. For Hungary being a small country, there about 3000 castles
from various periods. Unfortunately most of them are in ruines, they were mostly destroyed, exploded during the
austrian invasion. Recently some of them were restored. This year in October some volunteers (castle fans)
decided to clear from overgrown vegetation an almost forgotten castle (which was one of the biggest castle in Hungary
a few centuries ago). An archeologist was also present and with his support we can make a schedule for the future
I think it is worth to cast a look what was achieved in a few days (see http://szadvar. .hu).
This site in English as well. I'd like to know if similar efforts were made e. .g. in UK. It would be great if you could
share your experiences.
