I am also a Kellough by blood, my married name is now Adkins. I reside in Virginia Beach, but am originally from Ohio. There are MANY Kellough's there. |

The following website is extensive and covers many of the Kellough/Killough families in the US and Canada.
http://www. .fincher. .org/Genealogy/Killough/
Most all of the Kelloughs and Killoughs in the US and Canada are related through descending from David Killough, who came to the US in the 1700's. He was descended from John Killough, who went from Scotland to Ireland in the 1600's to fight in the church wars, in exchange for land. Some of the descendents immigrated to Canada, where there remains a large contingent. At one time in Ireland there were five different settlements or villages named Killough (which translated means Church Lake) The original scottish name was MacKelloch, which also translates as Son of Church Lake. There are many variations of the name now, through changes over time, Killoch, Kelloch, Kelogh, Kellow, Kello, Kellogg, etc. If you want to more info, I can provide some interesting research which I have compiled.
