here is mine

Medieval castles had great architecture. The outside of the castle was made of stone, mortar, and wood, the castles would protect people from the war. The castles had dungeons for the prisoners. The great hall was for celebrations. They had gatherings in the Chapels every morning. They had kitchens outside the great hall. In the bedrooms, they had palettes, Benches, or small mattresses on the floor to sleep on. The bathtub was wooden with cloth pads on it.
Early castles were made of wood, stone, and mortar and where built on hills of mottes. Castles were rarely a comfortable place to live. Medieval Castles were made for safety not comfort. The windows were small hardly ever kept in heat. The walls were built high to protect them and for the lookout. The castles were easy to make and they protected people a lot.
The dungeons were in the tallest tower of the castle and it was dark small room. The prisoners would half to eat rats if they were lucky enough to find any. The stonewalls, small windows made many castles to be changed into prisons. The tower of Bastille, London and Paris held many prisoners. The prisoners would stay in the dungeon until they died whether from old age, hunger, or sickness from the cold.
The Great Hall held medieval festivals, wedding celebrations, and holiday festivals. There was a big window and wooden or stone benches were placed under the windows so that the guests could enjoy the view. Long wooden tables would be covered with white silk mantles for the feasts but then they took the table apart for dancing and entertainment. The stone floor in the Great Hall was covered with carpet. They had candles and oil lamps for the light. There was a gathering in the chapel every morning. The chapel was in the great hall. There was a bigger chapel built on the bailey.
Medieval Kitchens were outside of the Great Hall for fire safety. They cooked things like soups, lamb, pigs, cattle, roast, and fish. The kitchens were big enough to cook three oxen at a time. They had water in a well. Utensils, plates, pots, and pans would all be cleaned in a big metal sinks. Breakfast was normally just bread and water. Dinner was at 10 a. .m. and noon and had many courses. Dinner celebrations had a lot of food and it had to be prepared the day before.
In the bedrooms, the lord’s bed would be made of a heavy wooden frame and have a canopy that would be pulled back during the day. The mattress was feathers and springs made out of ropes or straps. The lord would take his bed with him. The lords and their ladies had separate rooms. The guests of the castles would sleep in the room with the lord and the lady on pallets, benches, or small mattress on the floor. In the rooms, there were chairs and dressers made of wood. There were also many candles for light.
In the Bathrooms there were no toilets instead, they used garderobes. Garderobes would be built inside the castle wall over hanging the ground or water below. Some garderobes had wooden seats but most of them were made of stone. They put iron bars in them to keep armies from coming up through them. To take a bath there were wooden tubs with cloth padded on them. For privacy, they put a canopy or a tent of it. They placed the tub by the fire during the winter and outside during the summer. The lord would take the tub with him on his travels.
The life in a medieval castle was not easy but there were some fun times.
