The last phase of the Alcázar was completed in 1587 by architect Francisco of Morar.
Although, later architects under John II and Henry IV gave it a gothic aspect in the 13th century by which it is known today.
The oldest record of it is in 1122, although because it was built with granite blocks like the aqueducts it could be older. So we do not know exactly who Built it, but
architect Francisco of Morar worked on it. |

Alcazar was built by the Muslim Moors in the Middle Ages. I would appreciate if someone could give me a site on Alcazar, bc that is the only info I know  xoxo, Heather |
