The castle woodworking plans will yield a detailed play castle complete with a working drawbridge and crank a mote, cannons, towers and walkways, a staircase, ladder, flags and an entrance gate that raises and lowers. Also, dressed out horses and men complete with lances and shields. The finished castle measures 17" high x 37" wide and 37: deep. The system can be stored easily on end in a closet. Optional lighting can be added for additional enhancement. Make two cannons for the two front towers, more if additional placements are wanted. 

Materials needed: (not included)
A variety of wood or wood products can be used in the construction. If available, we suggest the castle walls be made from 1/4" thick fiberboard, a product much like hardboard but easier to work with and comes in an attractive Graham cracker brown color. Also 1/4" hardboard or plywood can be used. Two 4' x 8' sheets will be needed. Trim  and accessories can be made in pine or hardwood. Many parts are 3/4" thick, others 1/2" or 3/8" thick. Shop craps can be used for many of these small pieces. 

115 volts electric wiring, an a.c. switch and Christmas bulbs and sockets optional.
Dowels or small branches for the trunks of four trees in front of the castle (optional)
Craft material for top of trees. Use artificial leaves, vines, etc. shaped to form tree tops. Small chain for drawbridge, about 3 feet. 5/8" link or smaller.
Small brass brads for trim on the drawbridge
Assorted dowels; 1/8". 3/16" 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 3/4" & 1"
Assorted nails, crews and wood glue. Screw
